Moving Color

I was amazed by the tropical fish I saw in We Island in Indonesia, the fish scale reflects a blue green color and in another perspective, it reveals a rose color on the edge. Implementing it into the clothes design, thus I tried to emphasize the movement of the body through this visual effect, of this partial color change on the body. It involves many techniques including the paper pop-up, the kinetic pattern design to follow the muscles’ movement much more better along the seam lines and the brioche knitting technique to show a 3D knitting effect to reveal different color in different angle. All are tried to amplify the body movement, to let the tiny move of the body tell stories, to exaggerate a visual effect from the normality.

从我在印尼爪哇看到的热带鱼开始，一种一面能看到蓝绿色，换个方向看折射出来茵红色的鱼，被这种视觉转换吸引了！想体现人动态的行动方式，用服装的局部颜色变化特点表现出来。 有结合应用折纸，还有舞动观察人形体特点，通过动态身体剪裁，做出了更突出运动线路的服装，利用针织工艺，立体针织的方式显现出不同角度看到的线的色彩的不同。在尝试各种方式能够扩大身体的动态，把微妙的运动显得更有诉说感，从寻常中放大出一种视觉感受。
